I am still unsure of what attracts me to that car, but whatever it is, has kept me in awe for years. My all time dream is to have a black 57 with huge flames coming out of the hood, a loud and powerful engine, and flamethrowers in the exhaust. My one obstacle is that I can never find a resonably priced Bel Air. I have worked all summer on a commecial fishing boat w/ a family member to save up, and after one summer, I have close to $8,000. I am really hoping that a kind and generous person sees my plea and decides to cut me a deal, although I know that that is very out of place especially when dealing with a Bel Air. Comments: This is a great page. Me and my dad have just started a body-off rodstoration on a 1957 210 2 door wagon. Right now it has a 1968 327 and it has a Ford 9 inch rear. The car was used for racing throughout the 70's. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I could find a spare tire well. The people who raced it cut it off so that they could hook up the leaf springs in the back. Thank you very much and keep up the good work on the page!

Matador red body w/ivory top exterier looks stock with the exception of Cragar wheels. 400 HP small block, Munci M21 4 speed, 9" Ford Rear W/389 Posi,605 power steering box, 4 wheel power disc brakes, A/C, reproduced original black & white interior. This car is my primary transpotation and I drive it everyday. It is so much fun to drive. Gets lots of looks. I have been driving it about 2 years since its last restoration. I feel it is as dependable as a new car, and a lot more fun, and cheaper too. Thanks for the chance to tell you about "Big Red". Long live the true classics 55-57!! Comments: Sharp website!! Three weeks ago my wife and I bought a '56 BelAir, locally restored (amateur). The car had sat for about two years and consequently had a few leaks here and there. I had a local shop put a "seal kit" in the powerglide and replace the 40+ year old transmission mounts. Now the pointer for the gear indicator is off to the left by about 1/8". Where do I go for a Shop Manual and an Assembly Manual? I assume these manuals cover in detail how to fix the problem just described. Thanks for any and all information you can share with me.

Comments: Hi 55-57 fellows Today i came up with a good idea, it goes as follows: I`m an owner of a 55 2 dr post , and a 56 ragtop an here comes the part that might bee cool for somebody out there: I`m a guitar player in a rockn roll band, and we`ve just put out a record (CD) and our band is called :The studebakers , this cos i know back in the 50-60 studebakers was a car that no kid wanted, so this is an ironic title to the band. To the point: If someone wants this CD i`ll give it away free i`ll even pay the postage . Comments: Helllo over there, i still haven't owned a classic but i work on it really hard. The last checy was a 2dr ht 71 caprice whit 454, and before that i owned a 62 nova streetracer which was wery amusing because i really never had any troubble whit it and still it was tuned up so bad that everything nearly fell apart when the pedal hit the floor it had a 350 converted to 355 and gas + the wonderfull 2 speed namned powerglide. Once my friends little sister managed to get the reverse in when driving in about 70 miles and all i had to fix was new rear tires. gee i miss that car. Before that i had a 62 impala 4 dr whit a corvette 327 and manuel trans i promise there was some guys in town that drive volvo and bmw turbos that hated that car. I even had a few ford and if you ask me thats now god.
